Biography

Astrid starting baking in her mum’s kitchen, learning how to make traditional Mauritian treats. When she got older, she started working as an apprentice in a 5-star beach hotel whilst completing her HSC. She went on to complete her certificate 3 and diploma in pastry and food production. With that, she traveled around the world working in various 5-star hotels and refining her craft before moving to Australia. She worked in Miss Maud Cottesloe before joining a partnership at Patissez Canberra. She’s been a part of the Kiwi Kitchen family since 2017.
